Look at those muscles Robot potential [Video]

MIT researchers at the Institute

David H. Searched for Integrative Cancer Koch worked on a new material that they say could be used to control robotic artificial muscles or generate enough electricity to power small electronic devices.

The material which is made from an interconnected network of two different polymers, changes shape when it absorbs water vapor. “We’re a tough but flexible matrix that provides structural support while the other is a soft gel that swells when it absorbs water,” says the video description, which comes from MIT. “All of these polymers create a material that converts the steam energy without the use of an external power source.”

to wonder what is really possible when you combine that with technology like stuff like this, this and this.
